28 Hr. Reactivation Course for Sales Associates and Brokers

Real Estate Brokers and Sales Associates must complete the 28-hour Reactivation Course when they have had an involuntarily inactive license between 12 months and 24th months.

The 28-hour Reactivation Course covers nine specific units from the FREC Course I syllabus.

Per FREC rule 61J2-3.010(2), the course must consist of the following sessions from the pre-licensing book (FREC Course I):

  1. Section 2 – Real Estate License Law & Qualifications for Licensure.

  2. Section 3 – Real Estate License Law & Commission Rules.

  3. Section 4 – Authorized Relationships, Duties & Disclosure.

  4. Section 5 – Real Estate Brokerage Activities & Procedures.

  5. Section 6 – Violations of License Law, Penalties & Procedures.

  6. Section 7 – Federal & State Laws Pertaining to Real Estate.

  7. Section 11 – Real Estate Contracts.

  8. Section 14 – Real Estate Related Computations & Closing of Transactions.

  9. Section 17 – Real Estate Investments & Business Opportunity Brokerage.

Helpful exam details (from the same rule)

  • Exam length: minimum 50 questions.

  • Passing score: 70% or higher.

  • Retake: may retest once, within one year of the original exam; otherwise, the course must be repeated. MyFloridaLicense

This course meets the 28-hour Reactivation Course requirement for Florida.

BOOK:

The Dearborn Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices, and Law book is included.
